Learn iT!’s Conception
The idea to start Learn iT was sparked by a frustrated student.
In 1994, Founder, Walt Lembi, spent an exasperating day in an Excel class. The class was boring and the instructor had no discernable real world experience. Walt didn’t learn what he wanted and he had to be there all day just to learn the half-day’s topics he was interested in.
“There has to be a better way!” Walt thought. He was so fired up that he set out to prove himself right.
Walt vowed that Learn iT! would only hire engaging and experienced instructors, and students would be able to sign up for just the parts they need.
A lot of people associate a training company with a sterile environment. It was important that Learn iT! felt right. Our environment is warm and welcoming—a place you want to be.
Since conception, Learn iT!’s innovative strategy has been recognized by the business community, allowing us to develop into a well rounded business-skills institution—educating professionals in everything from introductory computer skills, all the way to high end networking, programming, and business and leadership.
We’ve all been affected by economic recessions and the ups and downs of a fast paced business market. Learn iT has survived by demonstrating the bottom-line value of excellent training. We think of our loyal customers as more than just “customers”, and it shows.
Learn iT! started with a vision of doing it better. We pledge to keep right on doing it that way.
